EBUS, 1998
In 1998, Ebus, Inc. was formed to design and build electric and hybrid-electric
transit buses and shuttle vehicles. In order to bypass typical start up delays, the
company hired the key design and production teams of a former electric transit vehicle
manufacturer.
EBUS
Employs
Ebus employs over 60 skilled managers, designers, and production workers in our
4 acre facility. Working together, our design and production team can produce up to 150
vehicles per year.
Design Team
Our design team, with experience going back to 1983 in the electric transit
vehicle market, has designed the industry's most extensive line of electric and
hybrid-electric vehicles. Buses, trams, and trolleys designed by this team can be found
operating in Anaheim, Los Angeles, Mobile, New Haven, Visalia, Indianapolis,
Gulfport and many other
cities. |
EBUS's Line
Our current product line includes 22-Foot electric and hybrid-electric Trolley
Replicas, Transit style Buses and our open-air, all-electric Shuttle Buses.
EBUS and
Production
Over the last six years, Ebus has delivered over seventy vehicles. Our vehicles were used to transport delegates during the
National League of Cities Convention here in Los Angeles and a service in Anaheim, California serving Disneyland, Downtown Disney and the California Adventure.
Hybrid Electric Bus and Trolley
We have completed the FTA required "Altoona testing" for our 22-Foot
Pure Electric and Hybrid-Electric Bus and Trolley.
These alternatively fueled vehicles provides maximum flexibility by providing the best
features of both internal combustion and all-electric propulsion systems. Our onboard generator features a Capstone
MicroTurbine which delivers the cleanest and quietest "CARB" certified heavy duty engine available today![]() |
