Ebus Delivers Electric Shuttle Buses to The City of Anaheim

Ten all-electric vehicles will shuttle hotel guests at the Anaheim Resort

Anaheim, Calif.-June 15, 2001... Today, Ebus, Inc., of Downey, California, delivered ten all-electric shuttle buses to The City of Anaheim, California with the goal of providing clean and quiet transportation for tourists visiting The Anaheim Resort. The Shuttle Buses were unveiled to the public at a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony held at the Anaheim Convention Center.

The electric shuttle buses dubbed 'The Anaheim Resort Transit Fleet', has been developed by the City of Anaheim, the Anaheim Public Utilities Department and the Anaheim Transportation Network, a local non-profit transportation management association. The goals of the program are to reduce both traffic congestion and air pollution in The Anaheim Resort. "In the past, every hotel needed to provide their guests with transportation to Disneyland. Now, that The Anaheim Resort development has been completed, it was important that we provide a comprehensive transportation solution to our property owners and guests," said Laurie Smith of the Anaheim Transportation Network.

The all-electric Ebus Shuttles are 22-foot long, low-floor vehicles and are fully handicapped accessible. The parallel 288 Volt, 140 Ahr Nickel Cadmium (NiCd) battery packs will provide up to 100 miles of range with a top speed of 40 MPH. The removable windows can provide an open-air ride for up to 32 passengers. Coach USA's Pacific Coast-Gray Line of Anaheim will operate the Anaheim Resort Transit service.

"We are excited to be providing the vehicles that will service Disneyland, Downtown Disney, the Convention Center and the new Disney's California Adventure", said Bill Webster, President of Ebus. "These shuttles are clean, quiet and fun and will provide an excellent first impression for the guests of these high-profile destinations", he continued."
